Now Viewing: shirleyTag type: None A historical slice of life manga created by Mori_Kaoru. It debuted in 2003 as an one volume series bundled with two early short stories by Mori. Mori later decided to continue Shirley in 2006 and the series was renamed Shirley Madison. Bennett Cranley is a single young woman who manages a cafe in Victorian England. One night she comes home to find a mysterious black haired thirteen year old girl named Shirley Madison waiting in front of her house. Shirley is applying to be a maid for Ms. Cranley. Cranley is somewhat skeptical but takes her in out of sympathy for Shirley who has no home. Shirley turns out to be an excellent and a rather perfectionist maid in contrast to Cranley's laid back personality. The story follows their daily lives as mistress and maid bond with each other.
