Now Viewing: alice_margatroidTag type: Character Alice Margatroid (アリス・マーガトロイド, Arisu Māgatoroido) is character in worldwide famous Japanese series, Touhou Project (東方Project); A series of doujin top-down shooter games (also known as STGs) created by ZUN (Oota_Jun'ya), featuring an immense cast of girls with almost no males. Alice is a doll-controlling youkai who lives in the Forest of Magic. She first appeared in the fifth work, "Touhou Kaikidan ~ Mystic Square." (東方怪綺談) as only named as "Alice." In the Touhou fandom, fans call the PC-98 rendition of Alice Margatroid to be known as "Lolice" (ロリス), considering her loli-like appearance. She then later appeared in the seventh work, "Touhou Youyoumu ~ Perfect Cherry Blossom." (東方妖々夢) with her full surname. According to ZUN, overall, Alice is what he says is a little "special" in the series, with her theme, character and such. When it comes to danmaku, Alice, unlike Marisa, is much more interested in strategy and hates having to win a fight from sheer overwhelming power, she always holds back even if it means losing. As of 2012, Alice has been gathering an enormous amount of praise as of late. One prime example would be 9th Touhou Popularity Poll, with her getting second place. In hentai, Alice is considered to be one of the most well-known characters to be either in forced / tentacle / etc. works, along with Sanae Kochiya, and others. Thus, making people thinking that she'd be just like that in hentai. Though, there has also been copious amounts of non-forced hentai that balances out Alice's role in hentai. One example is kedama_keito 's (毛玉ケヰト) drawings of Alice Margatroid, turning her into more of a voluptuous and curvy rendition of her (huge_breasts, huge_ass, etc.). Two of his drawings of her (One being labeled, "Alice's Ass," and one being "Somewhat in Love") has gotten over a score of 180, and a score of more than 300 of his overall drawings of Alice. Overall, despite being mistreated often in fan works (or perhaps because of it), Alice Margatroid is known and considered to be one of the most popular characters in the series, in the end.
