When Yotsuba first sees it while visiting her friends, Miura is already inside. But Yotsuba does not know this and believes it to be a genuine robot. Miura and Ayase Ena know the truth but opt not to tell Yotsuba. Although Danboo technically is not a character, it has become very popular and is even the mascot of Amazon.com in Japan. It is also the star of a stop motion short film called Le Danboard.
