Galko-chan The manga debuted on June 27, 2014. It was adapted into a short anime TV series by Studio Feel that ran from January 8, 2016 to March 25, 2016. The anime was directed and written by Kawaguchi Keiichiro. The soundtrack was composed by Takahashi Ryo. The series follows the daily lives of a seemingly unlikely trio of high school friends: the popular and fashionable kogal Gyaru-ko, the geeky Otako, and the sweet and talented but highly sheltered Ojou. As the title suggests, the series follows a question and answer format. Each sketch begins with a question, which the characters will then discuss and try to answer. Many of the questions revolve around the female body, leading to many frank discussions of body developments that girls go through. Most of the characters are not referred to by their actual names and are instead nicknamed after the archetype/stereotype they most resemble, but at the same time, the characters are often to shown to act in ways that defy said stereotype.
