In Kantai_Collection, Z1 Leberecht Maass has short_hair, silver_hair and blue_eyes. She wears a sailor_cap that has her name written on it (clothes_writing) and a bottomless, sailor_collared military_uniform that matches Z3_Max_Schultz_(Kantai_Collection)'s. She is often depicted as a male trap in fanart due to her masculine voice and mannerisms along with her androgynous looks. She is the second Kriegsmarine vessel introduced into the game along with Bismarck_(Kantai_Collection) and Z3_Max_Schultz_(Kantai_Collection). Her namesake (as well as that of her historical counterpart) was the rear admiral in charge of the German naval forces against the British in the Battle of Heligoland Bight [1], where he lost his life.
