Trapped in Belgrade since the 1980s, he is freed after 20-40 years by Marie_(Peripeteia) either directly or indirectly, and can serve as her escape from Belgrade. John is presumably the template for all autonomous Hinds in Peripeteia, and is one of many testaments to the capabilities of Soviet biomechanical expertise.
