Now Viewing: fake_typeTag type: Copyright A Japanese electric-swing musical duo that consists of rapper Tophamhat-kyo and composer Dyes Iwasaki. They formed in 2013 and have consistently made music since then, except for a hiatus that lasted from 2016 to 2021 where they pursued solo careers. Their songs are usually upbeat songs that mix Iwasaki's upbeat swing instrumentals with fast-paced high-pitched rapping from Kyo. Their collaborations with other artists have their signature sound with other vocalists emulating Kyo's distinctive rap flow. Although both musicians are public figures who don't hide their identities, they prefer to make fully animated music videos instead which star two characters who act as stand-ins for the artists, Baron Ham (Kyo), and Iwasake-chan (Iwasaki). Both characters are dressed in early 20th century clothing, with said time period also informing the aesthetic for many of their videos.
