Now Viewing: golden_weekTag type: General In Japan, Golden Week refers to the one week span from late April to early May that contains 4 national holidays: Showa Day (昭和の日, Showa no Hi), 29 April Constitution Memorial Day (憲法記念日, Kenpō Kinenbi), 3 May Greenery Day (みどりの日, Midori no Hi), 4 May Children's Day (子供の日, Kodomo no Hi), also known as Boys' Day or the Feast of Banners, traditionally celebrated as Tango no Sekku (端午の節句) 5 May Many Japanese people like using Golden Week to take time off work for travel and/or relaxation. Artists, on the other hand, seem to like using Golden Week as an excuse to depict their favorite characters in a gold_bikini (see also golden_week_bikini).
