Now Viewing: miyawaki_sakuraTag type: Character 宮脇 咲良 A female Japanese idol singer/actor who's uniquely both a J-pop and a K-pop idol and can speak both Japanese and Korean. She was born on March 19, 1998 in Kagoshima, Japan. From an early age, she was interested in music, attending a musical school and began professionally performing when she was still a child. At the age of 10, she played Nala in the Shiki Theatre Company's adaptation of The Lion King, and in 2010 joined The Broadway Experience in New York where she received training from Broadway talents. She began her long-running idol career as part of the AKB48 spinoff group HKT48 in July 2011 as a trainee and became a full member on March 4, 2012. From that point on, she steadily gained popularity, even starring in the AKB48 drama Majisuka Gakuen 4. In 2018, she participated in the South Korean idol survival show Produce 48, which paved the way for the second stage of her career, this time as a Kpop idol. At the end of the show, she became part of Iz*One, but 2021 saw the end of her tenures as part of Iz*One and HKT48. However, soon afterwards, she joined the Kpop group Le_Serrafim on March 14, 2022, and from that point on, produced music and performed in South Korea. Outside of her idol singer work, she has dabbled in many other fields including video game streaming, cosmetics, and modeling.
