The name "Qadištu" comes from the class of Mesopotamian women who served as priestesses, midwives, and wet nurses in Babylonia and Assyria. Early research suggested Qadištu were prostitutes as well, though this is no longer accepted. In SMT V:V, the Qadištu serve as major antagonists in the story, serving as 5 major boss fights. These demons are each strong in their own way, excelling at either support skills, ailments, magic attacls, and/or physical attacks.
