Now Viewing: the_human_centipedeTag type: Copyright An English-language Dutch body horror franchise created by Tom Six. It began with the first film which was released on August 30, 2009. Each film centers on a completely new cast of characters although there are loose connections between each installment and some actors return in different roles. The title refers to a gruesome procedure that each installment is centered around: three or more humans are conjoined together with one human's anus directly connected to the next person's mouth. From the very announcement of the first film's premise, this series became infamous for its gruesome content and stories even though none of the films were critical or box office successes. Six got the idea for the original film while joking around with friends over how child molesters should be punished although in the final films, its the main villains who perform the eponymous procedure on innocent victims.
