She is the most muscular out of all the Virtua_Fighter female fighters and accordingly has more raw physical strength. She debuted in Virtua Fighter 4. Although her general look is roughly the same, her skin tone was lightened and her muscles toned down in Virtua Fighter 5. She is an amnesiac woman of indeterminate origin, although she speaks English. When she was a child, her parents were killed, and she was taken in by the organization Judgement 6 to be experimented on and trained to be a fighter. She was rescued by a special forces soldier named Lewis, whom she took her family name from. Unfortunately, Vanessa would lose another loved one again with Lewis being murdered by J6. Afterwards, Vanessa used her martial arts skills to work as a bodyguard and joins the Virtua Fighter tournament in order to protect Sarah Bryant and get revenge on J6. In combat, she practices Vale Tudo and Muay Thai, giving her two stance systems that she could switch between.
