Now Viewing: vergilTag type: Character Dante's estranged twin brother and notably the most popular antagonist of the Devil_May_Cry_(series). Although he looks like Dante with spiky hair and a slightly paler skin tone, he is completely different in personality. In contrast to Dante's flashy and wise cracking personality, Vergil is extremely serious and is obsessed with gaining power. He also wears a blue long coat in contrast to Dante's red and favors katanas as opposed to Dante's guns and broadsword although he is capable of using Dante's weapons. Like Dante, he can also attack from a long distance. In Vergil's case, he can magically summon flying swords that function as his projectiles. He is one of the main antagonists of Devil May Cry 3, but he made his debut in the original Devil May Cry as a supporting character. Due to his proficient swordsmanship, he is one of the few enemies within the Devil May Cry franchise that Dante has difficulty in beating. He is notable for having many alternate identities/personas throughout the series and the revelation that said identity is actually Vergil is a major twist in these appearances. Don't tag these personas as Vergil unless the image acknowledges said identity's true nature. Said identities are: Nelo Angelo (DMC1), V_(Devil_May_Cry) (DMC 5), Urizen (DMC5), and Gilver (Devil May Cry 1 novel) He also appears as a playable character in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 based off of his Devil May Cry 3 appearance. He also returns in the alternate continuity Devil May Cry game, DmC: Devil May Cry. He is voiced by David Kelley (Devil May Cry 1), Jonathon Malley (DMC1 child voice), Daniel Southworth (Devil May Cry 3 onwards), David de Lautour (dmc: Devil May Cry), Robbie Daymond (Netflix), Marcel Nahapetian (young Vergil in Netflix), and Hirata_Hiroaki (JPN dub) Other Wiki Information Last updated: 04/12/25 3:30 AM by jojosstand This entry is not locked and you can edit it as you see fit. |
