Miyamoto Musashi battles Ayakashi with a style of gunplay/martial arts known as Gundoh hence the series name, Gundoh Musashi. The series is infamous for its very poor animation. Many images have been created mocking some of the shots in the series. It is also infamous for the inexplicable line Uo' Mabushi! (Wow, it's dazzling!) which Musashi says after he hits an enemy in episode 2 even though there was no flash of light or anything bright seen before he said the line.
