He is a blonde-haired man who has consistently made appearances in other Resident_Evil games since then, and was the star of 2 Resident Evil canon CG movies. In Resident Evil 2, he was a rookie cop who was late for work. This might have been fortunate, since he was able to avoid being infected by the T virus. After escaping from Raccoon City, he vows to continue fighting Umbrella and the biological horrors it has unleashed. In Leon's return in Resident Evil 4, set years after the previous games, he has become an experienced and competent US government agent. He is a noble police officer/agent who goes to great lengths to protect people whether he's assigned to protect them or not. He occasionally makes wisecracks at the expense of the villains and, perhaps to relieve tension, occasionally makes jokes with his partners during life or death situations. He is good friends with Claire, and has feelings for Ada Wong even though she has deceived him multiple times. Fortunately for him, Ada reciprocates his feelings and although she is a morally ambiguous character, she is more or less his ally in the games she appears in. Jack Krauser was his partner during one operation, covered in Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles as Operation Javier. He has a habit of yelling out his allies' names during dramatic moments; he also seems to have poor luck when it comes to transportation. Almost every vehicle he has stepped foot in has ended up being destroyed though he is fortunate enough to emerge relatively unscathed. Although he is leaner than fellow series hero Chris and has no superpowers, Leon seems to have a high tolerance for pain as in all of his appearances, he often suffers a nasty injury that would seemingly kill or incapacitate most people, but he gets right back up and continues fighting. He is also one of the playable characters of Resident Evil 6 and has grown a stubble. This version of Leon is playable in Project X Zone 2. He seems to be very successful with women in-universe, though he does not intentionally pursue any of them except for Ada with four canon female characters who are confirmed or strongly suggested to have feelings for him: Ada Wong, Angela Miller, Ashley Graham, and Manuela Hidalgo. Leon was designed to contrast with Chris. The director of Resident Evil 2, Kamiya Hideki, wanted the new male protagonist to be different from Chris's tough guy design. Although Leon was originally envisioned as a veteran, the creators also wanted a less experienced character as the protagonist so Leon was made a rookie cop. His designed, Ohishi_Isao, based Leon off of his own bloodhound. For Leon's design in Resident Evil 4, the creators made him look tougher-looking than he was in RE2, and modeled his face after the game's animation department director, Christian Duerre. Leon is notably one of the biggest heartthrobs in the Resident Evil franchise, a status that the developers sought to maintain even as he visibly ages, with older Leon being designed to be an ikeoji, an attractive older man. His English voice actors include: Paul Haddad (RE2), Paul Mercier (RE4, RE: DC, English version of Degeneration), Christian Lanz (Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City), Matthew Mercer (Resident Evil 6 and Damnation),who was a major fan of the character prior to being cast, and Nick Apostolides (RE2 remake onwards) who also did the motion capture work who played Leon in three stages of his life, as a fresh-faced rookie in RE2R, as a tough government agent in RE4R, and an experienced veteran in RE Requiem with him adjusting the tone of his voice to fit said stages. In Japanese, he is voiced by: Jin Yamanoi (JPN version of Degeneration), Morikawa_Toshiyuki (JPN version of Operation Raccoon City, RE:Da, RE6, Project X Zone 2, RE2 remake), Brad Renfro played him in the live action commercial for Resident Evil 2 and Johann Urb plays him in the live action Resident Evil Retribution.
