Now Viewing: resident_evil_revelationsTag type: None Resident Evil game, released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012. It is an interquel set between Resident Evil 4 and 5. It is directed by Nakanishi Kouichi and produced by Kawata Masachika and Hama Takayuki. It uses the over the shoulder perspective introduced by Resident Evil 4, but reduces the amount of action in an attempt to recapture the horror roots of the Resident Evil franchise. Chris Redfield and his partner Jessica Sherawat suddenly disappear, their last known location being the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Jill Valentine and her new partner Parker Luciani are sent to investigate an abandoned cruise ship called the Queen Zenobia to look for them. They don't find Chris and Jessica there, and they, as well as their superiors, soon realize that they have walked into a trap set up a bioterrorist group known as Veltro. Jill and Parker lose contact with their superiors and fight for their lives against new groups of biological horrors infected by the T Abyss virus while their fellow BSAA members try to find and rescue them. It is unique amongst Resident Evil games in that it has a Japanese voice track and the characters' mouths were actually synched to the Japanese voice actors. This has the side effect of the English dub's voices not matching the characters' mouths. The game has numerous references to the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri.
