Now Viewing: you're_under_arrestTag type: None Lighthearted buddy comedy anime/manga created by Fujishima_Kosuke and his first major success. The original manga debuted in 1987. It has been adapted into a successful anime series spanning multiple seasons, OVAs, and film, as well as a live action drama. It is a laid-back episodic series that focuses on the lives and various adventures of a pair of highly competent female traffic cops, the energetic and extremely strong Tsujimoto Natsumi, and the calm Kobayakawa Miyuki who is a skilled mechanic and driver. While there are serious life-threatening conflicts once in a while, most of the conflict comes from more mundane sources and the characters' personal lives. Even in life-threatening conflicts, the heroines take down their opponents non-lethally and there is virtually no bloodshed. Fujishima's love of vehicles is evident in the series as the vehicles and their mechanics are rendered in considerable detail.
