It begins chronologically towards the end of the second season and ultimately ends at the same place as the second season's ending. It is the last week of school before the K-ON! seniors graduate, leaving Nakano Azusa behind. The seniors wish to celebrate the last week of school and give Azusa some kind of farewell present, but they are stumped as to what kind of gift to give her. At the same time, they want to keep this gift a secret from Azusa. The girls eventually decide to go on a trip with Azusa to London where they become embroiled in fish out of water shenanigans, but the day of graduation grows nearer and the seniors are still struggling to think of a suitable gift for Azusa who is growing more suspicious of their behavior. Like the rest of the series, the film is a light-hearted and character-driven slice of life comedy. It was also very successful at the box office and featured new songs sung by Hikasa Yoko (Mio) and Toyosaki Aki (Yui). ED Animation: Singing!
