Now Viewing: hanamura_yousukeTag type: Character One of the main characters of Persona 4. He is a brown haired teen boy. He is the son of the owner of the Junes store. Since Junes has led to other stores being closed, the store and by extension Yosuke is resented by some. He is probably the unluckiest one of the main group as he is the usually the victim of comedic and embarrassing events. He is in love with Konishi Saki but the romance is tragically never meant to be because not only is she killed soon after her introduction, but also because she privately disliked him which Yosuke eventually realizes. Still, Yosuke nurses feelings for her even after knowing the truth and firmly believes that she is a good person at heart. He becomes a very close friend with Yuu. Yousuke has some homophobic beliefs and after Kanji joins Yuu's group and Yousuke learns of the possibility that Kanji might be attracted to men, Yousuke often expresses concern over whether Kanji might make a move on him or makes jokes about Kanji's possible homosexuality. Kanji is annoyed by Yousuke's tendency to do this and Yousuke's fears are unfounded as the only person Kanji is romantically interested in is Naoto. Despite this, Yousuke eventually accepts Kanji as part of the group. In spite of Yousuke's homophobia, Yousuke's interaction with Yuu is often noted for being filled with homoerotic subtext. While Yousuke is very close with Yuu and has a deep trust in him, there are instances where Yousuke almost seems to be attracted to Yuu. Despite the subtext, Yousuke is not a romance option. He tends to dual wield weapons and seems to be listening to music in the middle of battle as he is wearing headphones and tapping his feet when idle. His Persona is Jiraiya (not the Naruto character). He is the star of the Persona 4 spinoff, Persona 4: The Magician. He is voiced by Morikubo_Showtaro.
