Now Viewing: verdugoTag type: Character A monster from Resident Evil 4. They act as Ramon Salazar's bodyguards and are often seen accompanying him. They are often clad in hoods that obscure their faces and may initially seem human, but their true nature is exposed once Salazar sends one of them to kill Leon leading to an extended fight in a darkened room where Leon must fend off the near invincible Verdugo while Leon waits for a run down elevator to arrive. In its exposed form, Verdugo has glowing eyes and long and spindly limbs with claws. Its face is vaguely humanoid, but its body looks more like an insect standing upright. There are two ways for the player to approach the fight with Verdugo. The player can choose to run from the Verdugo until the elevator finally arrives and escape or the player can choose to kill it. If the player chooses the former, the Verdugo will still be there if the player decides to return to the room; the latter is more ammo consuming as the Verdugo is very resilient but there is a faster way to defeat it.
