Because the Viewership of the original Seasons are Adults now as well. So.. no big Deal i guess.

To think of the old Days in like 1998/99. Digimon was one of the first Series of that upcoming asian Animation-Domination and had such an Impact to my 8 or 9 Year-old Self. It was so different from simple western Saturday Morning-ish Niveau. Dark, sad and mature with Conflicts that mirrored to the real World. Here in Germany we thankfully got the uncensored Version localized, in Presentation and unadorned Dialogue. I never was able to figure that whiny and moody Kari Brat out. The Way she acted, so delusional and apathic lol. Well, that changed in Season 2 though.

Over Time i eventually got to know that it's Part of the typical awkward, shy and touchy-feely Personality Structure of an (animated) asian pre-teen/Teen lol.
