You know, when I first saw him in the beginning of the Anime, I thought he's gonna be one of those characters who act tough and be Ash's Rival.
But now later episodes of him, he's mostly a funny character.

Not that I'm complaining, I'm just glad they made him like that other than I said. At least Gladion is Ash's Rival.

It was a HUGE wasted opportunity for this to actually happen during the Johto region with Casey which would be extremely funny with the original cast as hijinks would ensue and only gets funnier as it goes. Such a shame.
