A playing card is a piece of specially-prepared heavy paper, thin cardboard, plastic-coated paper, cotton-paper blend, or thin plastic, marked with distinguishing motifs and used as one of a set for playing card games. Playing cards are typically palm-sized for convenient handling. They usually come in decks of 52 unique cards, categorized by suit and by rank. The four suits of the french deck are ♥ heart, ♠ spade, ♣ clubs, and ♦ diamond (diamond_(shape)); the ranks include Ace, the numbers two through ten, and the face cards Jack, Queen, and King. A joker or two may or not be present. If characters are playing_games with these cards, remember to tag accordingly.
