it would probably have to be Metal Man. Best weapon, incredible stage music.
There's also Shadow Man, who is an alien robot ninja. He's up there with my soft spot for the Stardroids, because everything about RM/MM V for the Game Boy is a logic and lore breaking mess that wraps around to being awesome. Especially the Wily Star, but uh, that's outside of this whole discussion...
