What makes Dark Souls great is that it's tough, but in a fair way.
Arcade games are designed by their nature to eat your quarters with cheap deaths.

An arcadified Dark Souls would be actually cheap.

Anon3, Many Arcade machines were, in fact, designed to be cheap or overly difficult. That's kind of how they made money off of them. That, or by being addicting, like Galaga or Centipede
