An interesting scenario.

An alternate FF7 where instead of Sephiroth going mad, he rises to power, going beyond SOLDIER and becoming the supreme leader of Midgar.

Well, before he went mad, Sephiroth WAS seen as THE SOLDIER Hero.

This could be before he decided everyone'd look better ran through on his longsword like some kind of macabre shishkabob.
