I think the inside joke here, and the comments support it, is that both Yubel and Effect Veiler have a fanbase that argue about the genders of these cards despite their irrelevance to actually playing the game. It's just there to show us how passionate the fans actually are. It's a beautiful piece portraying the possible femininity of each of these characters. Regardless of what I believe their genders to be, I can still enjoy this for what it's worth.
