I dont know if this will lighten or darken you days I hope the former but the title lord can be taken by ether gender it's just usually men who take it were as women usually take the title lady but in theory the sacred beast can be female

The problem is that the Sacred Beasts show zero femine features whatsoever. They look a lot more male. Though you have a point on the term "Lord", though they use "Lady" often in Yugioh as well, so them using "Lord" to only mean male isn't completely unreasonable.
