There's just something about the vague noir/cyberpunkish urbanism of anime in the 80s and early 90s that got me feeling some sort of way. That aesthetic kind of went out with a bang with Bubblegum Crisis and Dominion Tank Police and Devilman and even City Hunter and Mad Bull 34, didn't it?
