If this were Red instead of Ash, I'd feel less confused.

Is this picture a part of a set? Because I'm pretty sure the next must involve him giving Charizard, most of his pokemon, and possibly his wallet away to a complete stranger.

I grew up with the Pokémon anime, then I descover the games.
When I see some people complaining about Ash I get a little angry, you guys should know that Ash has done bad things and cool things but only remember the bad.
The only Pokémon he gave away was a beedrill, the others are in training or Pokémon like Lapras/Buterfree where realesed because Lapras was a baby and needed is mother, buterfree wanted to get laid, other Pokémon can return once in a while like Charizard, Squirtle and Gliscor.
So I only ask to respect other people that like the anime

@anon 3 i understand dude i grew up with the anime too but looking at the new ash i feel like someone has stabed me in the back (not sure about the black/white ash :/(still in japanese XD))
if they ever bring ash back too his battle loveing,cocky,not too smart,rash & child like self i,m sold but till that day i will always say it was nice while it lasted

The anime was geared towards kids entirely, so it naturally had goofier/dopier characters. The games leave the personalities up to your own interpretation, for the most part.

Ash does actually have some moments where he can be completely and totally Awesome O.O im not a big fan of what the Anime has become but The movies still have the best stuff in them O.O the main anime is like something ud find on Toon Disney or something


Ash is BADASS in some many places in the movies and he's done some thinks that I can't help but respect o.o

as an Example Pokemon Heroes His entire presence in that movie was... well GOOD! You see instances where he actually displays some strong acts of Courage o.o

seriously Don't write him off as a character like that Sure he may never win anymore League tournaments but thats not what his character is about that's just the Result he hopes for :3 The players can worry about having good Pokemon and winning against each other with the best teams Ash is about the Bond he shares with Pokemon and a victim of bad writing and comercialism
