Considering the game is a fully animated side scrolling shooter made with *RPG* Maker, has completely original sprite work, and was made completely by ONE MAN, I'd have to say it's far from shitty. As for the art being shitty? Well now, that's just ignorant.

I'm a programmer. I write software for a living. I've written my own RTS game (for which I drew my own artwork). I'm certainly in a position to call another one-man job poorly-done.

How about linking us to your portfolio, Mr. Hot Shot Programmer? I expect nothing short of amazing coming from somebody who "does it for a living." This is a non-profit game made for the fun of it. I don't see why it irks you so much. If you have such a problem with it, report it and then the mods will look over it.
