Even more disturbing, the older pantslizard sews the shed skin to make new pants and scarf. They are eating the old and used pants+scarf.

Fun Fact: Some species or real life snakes (and other skin-shedding reptilians) actually do eat their shed skins. It's nutritious, and an easy meal.
