Uh, Charlotte, you're based on the P-51, not the X-1.

Her character is based on Charles Elwood "Chuck" Yeager. He flew a P-51 in WWII but later flew the X-1. This is also canon to the story though in the anime I think her clothes tore off when she went supersonic.

The first time she went supersonic, in season 1, her cloths tore off. But she's in her season 2 uniform and in season 2 she can go supersonic at will.

Going supersonic would do more than tear your clothes off. Military pilots are instructed to drop below Mach 1 if possible before they eject, because the human body will easily suffer major injury from shock waves. It's more than enough force to shatter bone; you usually don't survive ejecting at supersonic speed. There was a story I saw on TV a few years ago about two F-15 pilots who had to bail out of their planes over the Gulf of Mexico at about Mach 1.2; one was killed by the aerodynamic forces, the other survived but broke both legs, one arm, sustained skull fractures, broken ribs, shattered facial bones, a punctured lung and a concussion. He almost drowned when he landed in the water because he only had one good arm to pull himself into his life raft with.

The lack of oxygen and low temperatures at the altitudes they fly would kill you even without the aerodynamic forces. Of course even far below mach 1 aerodynamic forces will start to do serious damage. Especially with prolonged exposure.

But they have magic, so all arguments are invalid.
