And removed taking poison damage outside of battle in the 5th gen. Now its just a more common Burn status.

No kidding. Its so easy to make $$$ in 5th gen its kinda annoying. I leave one town with nothing, by the time I'm at the next I have over 10,000.

Moral of the story: 1st gen thru 3rd gen was economically, strategically, and emotionally challenging while 4th and 5th gen was unrealistically forgiving...
