As far as I remember from health class, taking female hormones (i.e. estrogen) will give you perhaps a softer voice, definitely some breast tissue, probably more fat, and may lead to mood swings and unstable personality changes.
But they won't change your bone structure. Not a chance.

Depends on which set of bone structure, actually... hip growth is a rare occurrance... but it still happens. Facial structure however will not change. Shoulders will change slightly. Hand structure will not change. Some leg growth might be seen in rare cases (note: all of these are rare except what happens to your shoulders... you need to note this).
It will develop some breast tissue... and since you need more fat for the breast tissue, that kind of is required to develop... unless you are going for the athletic/ana looks (you probably are not). It softens the skin, typically makes genitals ineffective for the most part (technically, you can squirt if you figure out how to manipulate male precum and the prostrate in a manner equivalent of how a girl squirts... and then you are limited to what your prostrate is capable of holding). The mood swings and unstable personality changes are kind of what most teenage girls go through anyways. The only reason women come off as so stable... is they just have gotten use to what the hormones will do and make adjustments.
Also, depending on your medication, you may find your heart rate drops to the point of being dead... or you might have an insanely high heart rate (as a lot of the medications are either ones for treating heart disease... or stuff that has been found to case it).
Also, GPs tend to not be the ones who prescribe hormones. You will need to get a recommendation to see a psychiatrist/psychologist who specialises in abnormal psychology. Even then, it is several years... and surgery may not even be a definite thing (it really is not like walking into the doctor's office and saying, "chop it off, I want to be Sally!"). There are illegal methods, but side effects of that tend to include death.
As per reverse trap... that mostly requires finding a girl who will admit to not being cisgender... and looking at the cluster bomb of "we are not transgenders" present in the FtM community (honestly, if you call a guy, who is living their life role without any surgery and is legally down as a gal a "transgender"... you will get an earful on why they are not transgendered)... and then it is mostly finding luck to find one who is not cisgendered really.
I kind of got lucky there, with my "man".
