Which Dante? To me, the real Dante is the DMC 1 Dante, Hideki Kamiya's original vision, but unfortunately, that's the only game he worked on despite being the creator.

This is a poor representation of both Dante's, I'm sure we all can admit. I've played all except DMC4.
One was okay, shows it's age at this time.
Two was Ass.
Three was great.
And DMC:Devil May Cray was great too. The version in this picture depicts Dante as what the demo trailer showed him to be, and that's what was hated. The one we got now is more balanced. I like old Dante, but I like new Dante a bit more. He showed more character development, going from a delinquent to one who fights for peace. I say they're both about the same in terms of badassness. Just the character himself is too different then what older DMC fans are used to.
