its not that the dragons are in group of three (as seen with lugia and ho-oh seing they are a duo) its more like each trio needs a master seeing zekrom is the darkness in yang and rashiram is the light of darkness. kyurem represents the absence of both. as the monochrome generation is based off of yin and yang. thats why zekrom is captured in pokemon white while rashiram is captured in black while kyurem can be captured in both games
