I don't like Pokemon Special, they gives the characters characterization that they are not. At least pokemon anime makes the alternative version of the characters and the worlds and whatnot. Pokemon Special doesn't, even gives love relation that this that that this blah. The original developers like it blah, money. it makes money.
Thumbs down, yes, like I don't know that I will get them.

You're trying to compare a manga series that was geared more towards what the creator of the Pokémon world imagined, to a anime that was created for children, with concepts and misconceptions running amok throughout its content (yes, even the first season has some inconsistencies that don't match up with the games. You know, the universe they're supposed to be based on).

Anon6, stop talking like you know what you're talking about. You're trying to compare a manga series that was geared more towards what the creator of the Pokémon world imagined, to a anime that was created for children, with concepts and misconceptions running amok throughout its content (yes, even the first season has some inconsistencies that don't match up with the games. You know, the universe they're supposed to be based on).

like.. imagine, let's pick the first final fantasy game. and someone's wants to make a manga for it. I would rather see alternative version rather gives some personalization like the warrior becomes rebel youth, thief become a junkie, white mage become a ho. Then black belt and red mage married and their son is black mage.
what?? you don't know the first final fantasy game ?? of course.. you wasnt born by then. and so when the first pokemon game released. then you become a teenager play recent pokemon games (or at least remakes) and read Pokemon Special.
Note that this is my OPINION
