that might be true, but he would have treated naruto like a person. Being reminded of himself at that age, instead of haveing his tongue stuck up Sas-uke's ass like Kakashi did for most of the first half of the series.

^ Actually he'd have his tongue further up sasuke's ass considering they would both be uchihas. Kakashi was more concerned with Sasuke because he was trying to keep sasuke away from the path of darkness as opposed to naruto who already made it his life goal to be a great ninja for the Leaf village.
