Does this count as personification? This is the appearance Latias transform into during Pokemon Special (the same way Latias in Alto Mare transformed in Bianca in the movie).

Latias have shape-sifting abilities that are more advanced than those from the Zoruas.

I believed it was explained that Latias doesn't shape shift. She just make people around her think she is in another form, using Psychic powers.

actually, that was also partly explained in the movie.
ánd the pokédex entry (can't remember which) says she uses the feathery down that covers her body to refract the light to appear invisible.
