Her magic need very long time and many mana. But Kevin or Duran can deal much more damage with no mana, no delay... And in that game, elemental is nothing. Angela is USELESS bitch.

She's only slow to cast if you're not exploiting the Ring Menu Glitch (pauses the gameplay but spells still run through their incantation phase) and besides, she's great for early-midgame level grinding with her attack-all spells and a Gold Statue nearby. Also, she's the only one who can reliably hit those attack-and-fade bosses like Gorva. She's far from useless; the only problems I can think of are that she'll undergo her first CC a bit after everyone else does, and her lack of defense.

She's hardly useless. I just take her cuz I like to play as Deathbringer Duran along with Bishop Carlie. But taking someone in your party cuz they're hot in a 16-bit game?

She's hot and she's strong. Her magic fucks shit up.

Pick a melee heavy focus as your primary controlled character and set her to AI with low aggression.
If you have Angela cast spells often, the AI won't send her astray, and you can reposition by having your group run.
Angela clears adds effectively, and spamming her big type-advantage spells keeps pressure on bosses. Like Bladist alludes above, she offers your group control and offensive versatility.

Plus that spoiled slutty attitude is quite endearing.
