This picture clearly represents the tough decision that a Pokemon trainer must undergo every time a new Pokemon game is released.
One the one hand, he wants one of the new starters. On the other hand, he's hanging on to the Pokemon from his previous game [in this case a Pikachu]. He feels like his Pikachu has become too attached to him. The bond seems to be unbreakable; almost intimate, even! Yet the new Pokemon can offer so much new happiness!! What does one do in such a situation??
Just like with the "nope.avi", it seems that Ash's decision is clear. And the long neck represents...
