i prefer to think of it as the yin and the yang, there is the light, dark, and the absence. so technically, it could be considered gender swap, cause you're swapping neither with female

like what anon1 said, it's not a genderswap if it doesn't have a gender. look at other legendaries. they don't have genders. besides, any pokemon can be turned into female if the artist desires it
