The more funny facts, actually some souls did die in Bleach, except the ones that are left for dead by the sword, if noone dies wats the point of defeating the oponents? Is to understand that ichigo is the most powerfull one? he can cut through mountains and next? the whole world and explain me why all the sudently they can fight in the air like they flying? super gaz mode? LOL bleach would be more awsome if they did't keep filling with stupid storys and eps or sagas that doesn't have nothing to do with the story line!!!

maybe because in their shinigami form they don't actually have a body, spirits. they only fall because they lose their footing/balance or were thrown/blasted with force.

Actually, a lot of the stuff they do does make sense. lolz you just need to actually watch the show or read the manga. As for flying, they don't really fly. They focus their Reishi (spiritual power) under their feet like a floor, and stand on it (its just invisible to us when they are fighting, except for some of the episodes where it is shown being used for travel over things that have no floors, walls, nothing) Its very similar to how Naruto and other ninja's walk on water by using their Chakra.
