As I think I've said before, I put Flea as female when I upload Flea pictures because the body is distinctly female, we don't see explicit sex organs except female ones, and as a shapeshifter Flea very likely can become entirely male or entirely female (or in between) as desired.

While that is entirely true, Flea clearly states that he's a guy, so regardless of form that's how he views himself. Though to correct myself he then goes on to say "Male, Female, it doesn't matter. . ." My looping and chaotic point being Flea really views himself as a guy that looks like a woman. So would that mean futa of him would be closer to accurate?

Under those guidelines, any female character that decides to call herself a man is a man. Likewise, any picture we saw of a male character that prefers to dress as and be called a lady would have to be tagged as female. If we saw a penis on the picture then yes, I'd say futa works, but since we have no indication of male sex parts and only female ones, I think sticking to female is more appropriate and accurate.
