The old show atleast had camp value, the newer one was "dark and edgy" for the sake of it, had gratuitous sex tossed in for no good reason at all and, well, the less said about that final fucking episode, the better.

But I will say that the space battles were awesome in the newer show and they really did the whole concept of anybody being a Cylon pretty well, even in the the end they fucked up the numbering and had to toss in an excuse about why one of the models was never seen.
