It would be interesting to see him return. But I'm not sure if he will. After all he was hollow yet part of Zangetsu it's self.

He may return, since while he and Zangetsu are one and the same, they have shown that they can separate and their merging was never stated to be permanent.

who knows, it might just be zangetsu, but significantly different. ichigos sword and clothes certainly have changed a bit.

^ we already have seen his bankai so why wouldnt his shikai change to?
if memory serves like darlove said there one and the same and ichigo's fullbring looked like his hollow side when it first appeared :/ so there's an chance
