DBO pretty much confirms that being girls is a non issue. But one does have to wonder how much Saiyan blood is required to do so regardless of gender.

I think the minimum amount of Saiyan blood for SSJ was stated by Toriyama to be 1/4 Saiyan. However, Toriyama might have changed his mind (it was never stated in the anime, and I don't think it was stated in the manga, either.)
