Actually Emilie would make a better rival for Sakura simply by one thing: She's a rich Caucasian. Ken, Ryu's old friend and rival? Rich American. It just fits better... Especially with Karin being blonde... How many asians in general are blonde? Sorry, just wanting some realism here. Karin should have been a rich western caucasian transfer student, but still with a rich family. Why? Well, she'd then reflect Ken. It would have been a nice touch. ANYWAY! That's just my opinion that's going to get me a lot of hate.
