Pokémon Trainer from Brawl it's basically Red and you will notice if you read the trophy information, he wasn't given a name for this release because that basically defeats the purpose of player characters by Pokémon standars (remember that in Brawl you can also name yourself lol).

It was kinda dumb, like naming Mario "Plumber" but that's how Game Freak rolls.

the difference is that ssmb pokemon trainer is the MC from red from fire red/ leaf green

so he's more of a disliked redesign than a separate character
